A Highland Welcome: German customers seek out private viewing of our Luxury Golf Accessories in Scotland
There’s something truly special about being discovered not through flashy campaigns, but through quiet admiration and a shared appreciation for quality Scottish products.
Recently, we had the privilege of hosting a lovely couple of golfers from Germany who were visiting Scotland on a golf pilgrimage. After discovering our collection online www.maireadhume.com, they reached out directly, having found our HQ listed on our website. Anne and Martin were spending a few days in the area, they asked if it might be possible to visit us in person. The answer, of course, was a wholehearted yes.
Set amidst the outstanding beauty of the Scottish Highlands, we arranged a private viewing of our luxury golf accessory collection, an exclusive experience tailored just for them. From hand-stitched Harris Tweed® head covers to Limited Edition Collections, our guests had the chance to see (and feel) the craftsmanship and quality up close.
What began as an unexpected call became a memorable afternoon of conversation, connection, and shared passion. Against the backdrop of Perthshire hills, the experience evolved into something more than a product showcase; it became a moment of genuine cultural exchange.
Anne & Martin's enthusiasm for our luxury collection was humbling. They spoke of the precision and care evident in the weaving process of the Harris Tweed® and how our designs reflected both the rugged heritage and refined beauty of Scottish golf courses.
As the visit came to a close, we enjoyed a toast to craftsmanship, curiosity, and the serendipity of global connections formed over a love of the game of golf.
We are honoured that our guests sought us out, and proud that our work continues to resonate with golfers worldwide.

For us, this visit was a reminder that when passion leads, people follow, even across International borders.
While we love meeting fellow golfers and Harris Tweed® enthusiasts, please note that our HQ is not open to the public on a daily basis as it is a working studio, not a retail space. However we are very happy to pre-arrange a private viewing appointment to shop our collection.
