We love sending our products across the Atlantic to our friends in the USA. It’s a joy to share a little piece of Scotland with you. However, new changes to postal services, tariffs, and import rules between the UK and the US mean we’ve had to make some difficult decisions about shipping.
This is a temporary operation from 29th August 2025 until 28th February 2026, thereafter, 10% tariffs will apply with local taxes.
What’s Changing
Due to new US duties and state taxes, parcels sent from the UK are now subject to significant additional costs upon arrival in the United States. These changes are outside of our control, and unfortunately, they mean:
-
We are no longer able to offer our standard service to the USA as before.
-
Any orders shipped to the US will now incur import duties of a set fee $80 (USD), per package, plus any local state taxes.
-
These charges are payable on delivery directly to USPS or the courier handling your order. These taxes may be charged on a later date when you receive your parcel.
Why This Matters
We know that unexpected fees can be frustrating, and we don’t want our US customers to face surprises when their order arrives. That’s why we’re being transparent about the extra costs upfront.
For many, these new duties and taxes make it harder to justify international shipping, and we completely understand if you choose not to go ahead with an order at this time.

Still Want to Order?
If you’d still like to purchase from us, we’re more than happy to arrange your order, just keep in mind:
-
$80 in US import duties will be applied by US Customs on delivery
-
Local state taxes may also apply, and could be charged after delivery
-
Payment is due on delivery to USPS or our courier partner
We recommend checking your local state’s import rules before placing your order, so you know exactly what to expect.
A Heartfelt Thank You
We want to take this moment to thank our US customers for your incredible support over the years, and we hope this situation will change in the future.
Thanks
Mairead Hume
